Mary is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Licensed Acupuncturist whose name is synonymous with the delivery of gold-standard physiotherapy throughout Cork.
You may remember Mary from City Physiotherapy (above Eganʼs Opticians, Lavittʼs Quay).
Professional physiotherapy qualifications and memberships:
- Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
- Accredited in Spinal Manipulation by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in London
- Member of the Irish Orthopaedic Medicine Society
- Licentiate in Acupuncture in Diploma in Health Science from UCD
Ferdia McCarthy
Ferdia qualified from Trinity College Dublin with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy. Throughout this degree, Ferdia gained valuable experience working in various hospitals and private practices in Dublin. He is also a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).
Ferdia has been working in private practice since qualifying which has further enhanced his skills in the management of musculoskeletal disorders. Ferdia likes to use a combination of hands on treatment and exercise based interventions in order to prevent injury recurrence and to help all patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. He is committed to continued professional development participating in ISCP courses at every opportunity.
Coming from a sporting background, Ferdia has a keen interest in developing rehabilitation programmes specific to the patients sport to ensure the patient is ready to return to the playing field at the end of their treatment.
